India Vs England 1st Test, Day3 Updates: India ended day 2 after scoring 125 runs for 4 wickets with KL Rahul and Rishabh pant batting on 7 not out and 57 not out. R Pant started the day with some positive cricketing shots while Rahul played watchfully.
There was a rain intervention right after the start of the day today but the play has been resumed in a short time. Rishabh pant played some excellent shots for his short stay of 25 runs in 20 deliveries but Robinson dismissed him with full-length delivery that struck in the pitch and lofted straight to the short cover fielder placed exactly for that shot. Then Ravindra Jadeja joined KL Rahul both of them played some good shots and played responsibly and took India to 191 for 5 wickets during the lunch. KL Rahul had some lucky drops as the England players dropped him twice that includes a sitter dropped by the England captain Joe Root. Rahul made full use of the Dropped chances and scored some important runs for the Indian team.
Soon after the lunch break KL Rahul has been dismissed by James Anderson for 84 runs caught by Jos Buttler. KL Rahul becomes the 620th wicket for Anderson. Jadeja played brilliantly to score half-century batting with the tailenders in the second half of his innings after losing KL Rahul. Then Mohammed Shami joined hands with Ravindra Jadeja and frustrated the England bowlers by scoring some useful runs with the bat.
